HEY GUYS,
hows it hangin y'all. Well no one here wanted to do the news so I asked myself why not? I would like to begin with the jerseys. Stoners seem to be pretty organized but Parnksterz seem to act a bit retarded (or maybe its just k-pal).... Well I'm doing the Demons jersey as well and I can do ours whenever u guys want. So if u guys have any question on jerseys, like where u can purchase them and if u dont know how to do something, please don't hesitate to call me at 684-2786.
Then I would like to talk about the games going on....Well there were no games this week or even last week if i can remember ( Except for the stoners vs. j-b game). If u guys r wonderin wht happened that game, well heres a game summarie.
Players that played were Jeff Gabe and matt vs. Jay, Ash and simaar. there were no goalies. simaar got into a fight with Matt and were suspended from the game. ash and Gabe joined them in the penalty box. The 3 stars of that game were Jeff, Jay and the left post on memet's net (he had the most saves including Jeff's penalty shot and breakaway). Jeff had 16 unassisted goals and Jay had 15 unassisted goals.
Well back to reality. I would just like to remind U guys that WISHL is not for gays. So those of u that r gettin all jiggy with other men please not here. And for those of u who r aware please stay alert.
Well guys theres not much to say either than the WISHLPA party, Cant wait for that. My idea was and I think it should be this way is that every PA person makes a speech and others listen to what they have to say and then have a vote.

So Ashwin’s been hard at work on the meeting date and etc. The official date is now set to December 12th most probably at Ashwin’s place. Almost all of those in the WISHLPA team had been invited such as: Jeff, Veerinder, Gurdev, Majed, BT, Chris, Yevgeniy, Jay, and ME ! Some of the members that Ash is still thinking about are Kevin S. and Brian … don’t really know why so you have to ask him. The meeting should be a success with pizza and strippers (nah the strippers is a joke … or is it ?) and should end within time for those of you who’s mother’s will be waiting for at home.
The MVP of the year and Goaltender of the Year awards are under way. PA members will be voting soon in private by e-mail because, some people who vote are not exactly in the WISHLPA, but even if I were in the PA they didn’t let me vote which is not far to the benefite of the doubt that I didn’t play in the league last year. DAT SUKZ ! but I guess then it’s not far .
A lot of work’s been done by some teams for jerseys this year like my team, The Prankstaz. Prankstaz even got a new Logo which is in the official website, (for those who wanna see it) which would suit our jerseys. Most the Prankstaz got black CCM jerseys from Canadian Tire and which you could get with a number on the back and with the CCM logo all the way at the bottom back. But that would be a problem … Why ? Well because some players are fighting over the number "69" (ahem … Steve a.k.a Cronos & Jesse). Also Sukhbir wouldn’t agree on anything but, too bad for him he aint AC. Lol . JB are planning on jerseys with a new team logo and the Demons are planning on red jerseys with the Demon’s logo on front
So the 4e Avenue’s are gone for good. Jesus Christ some teams gotta make up thier minds. Now all the league’s got are The Prankstaz, Demons, J-B, and The Stoners. Maybe the rest of the player’s will decide about making teams after the Winter series. But one individual has already planned on making a team. "Hadi" (one of Majed’s friends) has decided to make a new team (well GOOD luck to him … he’ll need it) and desperate, old Ashwin is encouraging him. It’s still a question of Yes or No … so which one is it … stay tuned for it and you’ll find out sooner or later. This is Gowsic signing out … Peace ^_-
In pre-season action, first was J-B vs Stoners and the most important part of the game was Jay getting two penalty shots and getting none in because he keep falling over his own legs and future MVP Dillan Pratt score two goals but it wasn’t enough because J-B won 10-8…….hmmmmm….every since J-B lost the Finals they been on a roll, could it be………………..nah it must be the curry. Well J-B wasn’t done because they faced off with the Pranksters (Pujabi-unit as most of us know them). As the Prankster thought they were Dallas Stars, didn’t think they would get beaten 24-5 and J-B had no Goalie!!! What happened to Harpal the best Goalie in the League? He showed he’s not up for the challenge. If the Pujabi-u…….er……I mean Pranksters don’t get any better they are going to becoming the new Stoners!..............garbage team. Well always now we turn to Jeff………Jeff?.....(see Jeff eating his curry and smack him over the head)……….dammit it’s your turn!
.....Damn gotta interrupt me while im eating my 3rd supper of the day, good curry though. Anyway, it seems like the message board has been used alot frequently, some new ... uhm.. stuff! has been added, such as music in profiles...and thats about it.
Also, there's a new rule next year how every player must wear a jersey, and each team has theyre own logo jersey etc, and captains are expected to get their teams ready for next year.
Where am I gonna play nxt yr? But Ashwin really asks: "Is it 'who gives a shit' or 'he must play for Stoners as he is continually wasted'???" Lol, he makes no sense whatsoever. I doubt I'll play in many games guys, especially the ways you guys shift games around every 30 minutes. WISHL players keep dissing each other on the forum with threats such as "gay", "fagget" and "homo". Speaking of homos and "Pranksters" that Gowsic's gonna get a bat to his face one of these days. Gowsic comes outta nowhere on the boards and makes it to top 3 in PAP voting; mods finally found out that non-members can vote (like jesse ho, kiranpal and harpal). Mohsen is PAP (WISHL player's assoc. president) and commissioner. Jeff is PAVP Which sounds cooler, because it ISN'T a test done on menopausal women. There will be reelections in April in case any of you wannabees (ahem, Gowsic) want to be pap smears.

Well anyways now for the real news, Hornell bounce back to tie the series to one game a piece. Majed and Jay are bitching to each other because of the lost, where is the love guys where is the love! I don’t know anymore of what happened in that game because some one forgot to phone me to Ref the game!
Well in Pre-season action, The Demons are 4-0 and are showing that they will become the top pick to win the Cup and J-B fall 0-4 in the pre-season……….who would have ever thought of that! Turbanators change their name to the Pierrefonds Pranksters……….how ugly can they get and MUKHBIR IS NOT THE CAPTAIN! I think we have are new Stoners! Also Turbanators (last game as the Turb’s) just manage to beat J-B 15-13 and J-B only had Jeff, Jay and no Goalie! So I think Turb’s don’t really deserve that victory.
The message board has become alive again, with idiots like Kirenpal posting messages with no meaning, Jay and Majed daily fights and the return of Julian, makes us want to read what’s going on.
News about the WISHLPA…………………well I didn’t even knew that I was on the PA and nothing is really happening right know.

Anyway down to the hot news in the WISHL. Let's begin with the Finals. As you know, JB won the first game while it was pouring outside and all you wussies didn't show up. The game was 2-on-2. We had no choice. Hornell played extremely well taking the lead twice in this 8-6 loss. For more info, view the game details.
We now have most of next year's rosters. But I doubt Woodside will play as they won't even give a decent roster. So let's start with Mukhbir Singh, former captain of Turbanators. Mukhi wants to play for a contending team. He has mentioned Jean Brillant and already played for them in an exhibition loss to the Demons. As for the 2004 Turbs, their captain will be Sukhbir, Mukhbir's bro. (In other words, Turbs are going down!)
We hear the Thornton Bulldogs are a promising team and that 4e Avenue will come back, but I would like to say a few words about the Demons.
And about the WISHLPA? We are looking for 10 members, including a President who will be voted for later on. The PA will take care of: stats, writing full Game Details, dealing with trades and complaints, finding refs for games, voting for diverse things. The President of the PA will be a commissioner of the league as well. Until now, we have Mohsen, Veerinder and Chris Michaels in it. It's first come, first served. New people can join in if a member gets fired (lol, we'll see about that later).

Anyway, theres a meeting on the 19th, about the new teams joining etc..and only captains and assistant captains are supposed to go, but hey im going anyway! I heard there will be food, so im there! There should be about 9 teams, so it wont always be just the same games with practically the same scores everytime, now there will be much more challenge also, i heard rumors that the new teams joining are quite good, so im probably going to decide to stay on J-B, since i'll want to be on a good team, haha, or maybe i'll join stoners...hmmm..hahahaha. that would be a mistake, no offense to all the stoners out there.
I also heard that mukhbir lost his shoe in a tree at their last game...i wonder who would have done a thing like that?.....that sneaky bastard..."Jeff looks around innocently".
So nows theres even a joke of the week eh? hmm.. speaking of which..is there going to be a player of the week?..maybe not of the week but maybe of the last 2-3 games that were played.

So far in the playoffs the player with the most points, is Jay (Shahzeeb Uppal) with 13 goals and 3 assists...how thats alot of goals compared to assists, *cough hog cough*. Also the best g.a.a. happens to be....*drum roll*....ME! with 2 games played, 1 shutout and 2 goals against..how did that happen? my g.a.a. is 1, but its wont stay like that for long. Unless i decide to retire! Speaking of retiring i hear nam cant come back after 'officially' retiring.
Julian told me he wont be showing up to any games until hornell beats turbs. He says the games are boring, and turbs complain too much. So turbs here ur chance to catch up while Julian is gone.
Trivia 5 finally came out! it's only over a month or two later than when Ashwin said it would come out..but better late then never!
Also Jay and I want to get a little league going in the winter, it wont be the same Wishl teams, and there might only be 3 teams, which ever players are interested in it email me XxJeff_latxX@hotmail.com, after we get all the names of players who want to be part of it , we'll make the teams, decided how many games etc..

Well playoffs seem to be picking up pretty well, with already 6 games played, but we need to get more games going, soon school will be starting for more of us.
4th avenue Devils won their first game vs JB which surprised many JB players, especially me, but JB got their act together and finished the series , eliminating 4th avenue , 3-1, although 4th avenue didn't make it to the finals, they proved to be a good opponent for JB. Hornell and the turbanators are tied at 1-1, who knows who will win this series, it can go either way, both teams seem to be a good challenge for each other. If u ask me Hornell will turn up the winner, if Julian plays as goalie they will pull it off for sure, and maybe even win in the finals.
Doing the news wasnt half bad..give me ur opinions about it and tell Ash if i should do it more often.

Stoners won their first game. Good job guys, it seems like the ganja-man didn't lace the hash with rat poison this time. Whoops, that was a forfeit loss, wasn't it (vs. guess who?)? Speaking of the Stoners, they paid 10 bucks for the WISHL cup, making the funds 48$ now. I have to give Ash and Jay some credit here, at the beginning I didn't think they could pull it off. That said, I guess Ashwin's new bike's gonna be gonna be, mysteriously, 50$ cheaper. Naw, seriously, only 25$ left to go and since I'm gonna get my 10$ from Sukhbir and Kiranpal, you guys might actually get the WISHL cup. Speaking of a giant cup, it'll have to be ordered two weeks in advance of when the playoffs end. That means you'll need 75$ by then, c'mon Hornell, pay up.

I guess I should tell y'all what the format of the playoffs will be. They haven't figured out if its gonna be best of five or three. Really guys, I mean if you're having trouble facing each team 6 times, how in Shiva's name are y'all gonna play two rounds of five games (if needed) by the time Ashwin starts CEGEP. LOL, I know what the plan is, hahahahahaha getting rid of him for the playoffs, hey I'm not against it, I'll get my 10$ from Jay's grandfather. But here's what they do know: games will be played for 60 minutes, (screw the 10-goal rule) unless there's a tie, in which case play will continue until someone scores.
Well the playoffs are coming, starting next week or so get ready for a HORNELL victory. Yup. That's who I think's gonna win. But some people don't. Jay's Grampa, Ashwin and Shazeeb don't. In fact they're betting against me that the blue storm will win. WISHL vs. PSHL is on July 16 and guess who's reffing it? That's right, yours truly. I'll be writing a game summary following the game. WISHL knows its rosters for the game, but Shazeeb doesn't want Chris Michaels to know so I can't put it up. Sorry guys. Anyway, Mukhi wants Ashwin BAAAD. That's right, the two bedfellows (joke) were negotiating Ashwin's possible move to the Turbs. Mukhi's leaving in August for a week, so he needed someone to take over as captain (during that time) and a good defensemen. Unfortunately, Ashwin decided against it. Next, Veerinder left for Vancouver, who'll be goalkeeper for the Turbs, that stubby kid? Big news, Stoners scored their first goal (by Nicky Wasserman) in five games and completed their first full, non-10-goal game in a looong time. The Turbs have this kickass website, with the Turbs writing an assload on their message board, why in Guru Nanak's name aren't they writing in the WISHL website? 4e Avenue has no chance in hell to finish their 24 game schedule. Instead they will play 16 games, playing each team 4 times.The WISHL logo competition is on until July 21 (Monday) at which point a winner will be named, pictures by the winner and runners-up will be posted on the site. 1/4 of the league has payed for the WISHL trophy. While I see this as an accomplishment, Ashwin obviously does not (surprise?). So headjob here has decided, with guidance from a ex-Midget AAA Vincenzo Salera (a friend of mine), that everyone's gotta pay cash to play starting from next year(2$). At least we know who to chuck stones at now.

I guess I'll end this article on a high note. Lots of things are planned to make the site more interesting. A new 'interactive' section will be added to the site. This section will include the WISHL logo competition, Trivia, as well as some other stuff. For example, shortly, I'll be putting up a comic of the WISHL including humorous caricatures of some players. Also, there'll be a page called BT's Bets, where I'll be taking bets on who'll win the WISHL cup. Since I'm betting on Blue Storm winning the cup, y'all who want to bet against me, can, using the following ratios: 1.2:1 on Blue Storm (you get 1.2 times your cash back if Blue storm win and you bet on Blue Storm), 1.5:1 on Turbs (you get 1.5 times the cash you gave me if Turbs win), 1.5:1 on Hornell, 2.25:1 on 4th Avenue, and 5:1 on Stoners. You can also bet against each other on BT's Bets. We've also been thinking that an interactive hockey game (where you can play against other guys on the site) would be nice, let us know if you know where we can find it. Hey guys it’s me … you might be wondering what the hell I’m doing in the news. Well Ash just sent me an e-mail out of god knows where asking me deperately to do the news … lol jks … so I offered to write it so HERE I AM … so it hasn’t really been busy in WISHL this week. Just one typical game. J-B versus Demons but, a lot of stuffs been going on especially in the new and improved forum. Damasta’s been working on adding much better music for the profile pages. He’s gone as far as James Bond to 50 Cent … so for those of you who didn’t sign up for the forum you better sign up now … also Mohsen is planning on a Fantasy Draft Game which would be REALLY wicked. So back to the JB vs. Demons game, in which the Blue Storm won 15-8. JB are on a roll winning almost every game but, Demons got close last time. Whatever happened to the Demons, they had a chance … Was Veerinder missing his glasses again ? (LOL inside jokes ayte) So I guess JB’s major changes helped A LOT … I hope my team will too … yup that’s right I hope our changes will work out for april ! …

- with BT and comments by Ashwin JB beat Stoners 10-8. They seem to be real contenders in the coming season. Bulldogs cease to exist. Instead, rumours have it that there will be some team with the name of Redtimberwolves or something fucked up like that, at least that's what Mohsen says. It's his friend Brian and Kevin's team. Some kid in grade 7 at Riverdale paid Pranksters 20$ so he could play for them. What an asspimple. On the other hand, Pranksters are kinda smart, they're actually making money off WISHL, unlike other people. The money went to 4-foot jesse Ho who seems to be a bully (and fagget according to Ashwin). How can a 4-foot guy be a bully?

The season is finally over and many teams have been jumping in trades. One team that lost in finals (J-B) has decided to come up with BIG changes...They were always desperate for a goaltender and getting rid of Jeff wasnt a smart move..."We had no choice", said Jay "It's his choice abt whatever the fuck he wants to do"...J-b have picked up a few new like Julian, Yevgeniy and more....." I'm sure if we get ready and work hard we can succeed next year......our team played gr8 but some fuckers ruined it for us *cough*chris*cough*...but whatever happened has happened and we got to move on. Jay, Ash and the rest of the team is workin hard for next year....will they be successful next year? it's a tough question with new teams like demons and praksterz and even stoners.....we will have to wait and see who will hoist the cup next.......

by Ashwin DixitFirst, I would like to say "The weather sucks ass!". Many of you must be wondering why the hell I'm writing the news. Well, it's simple - NOBODY ELSE IS DOING IT!!
The Stoners are on the road to strength as they'll pick up stars Jeff Latreille and Patrick Staton. Gabriel has finally decided to opt for other players.
They have a strong lineup featuring Mohsen Ahmad, Sam Gill, Mostafa Hasan and Justin Bussieres. The masterpiece of the team is former Turbanator goalie Veerinder Grewal. He will be the main reason if Spring Garden goes far in next year's offseason.
News about the Meeting! (9/19)

So finally the turbs-hornell series end, at 3-1, turbs put up a good match against em, especially their last game were it ended 6-5 in overtime, turbs actually had a 2 point lead at one point in the game, but hornell wanted to take turbs out then and there.
Finally we get enough money for the Wishl cup, after two of the turbs members each pay there 5$ to bengal, yeah Ashwin, "non-profit" organisation my ass!

-with Bengal TigerWhat's up everybody? Well it seems that there are two games until playoff starts, and more importantly 2 weeks before CEGEP starts. While Ashwin, Nam and Sajan (and especially Matthew Gergenti, year #4) may not be looking forward to it, but I am. Christ, a 3-month break is just too fucking long. Anyway, this week it seems like Shazeeb (though by fluke) and Michael Morena got my question right in the trivia. Well that makes Jeff, Jay and Mike tied at 1 question right apiece. There's one trivia left, whoever gets the most right gets a chocolate bar. If its a tie, I'll let Ashwin's dog have it.

Weekly News with BT (7/26)
How's it hanging everybody? Just in, Chris Micheals wants to be head ref (in addition to wanting to be webmaster of the WISHL site). It looks like Ashwin has a fan club. Well OK, its not just in, I could have told you last week, but I didn't want to screw up Ashwin's trivia. Speaking of trivia, Jay and Ashwin asked me if I wanted to be a WISHL commissioner. I agreed, of course. Thanks guys. What does that have to do with trivia? Well if you answered "a) BT, Ashwin and Shazeeb" to the question "Who are the three comissioners of WISHL", you're WRONG (This only happened after the trivia was posted). Kiranpal's mom's just as bad his logos, from the looks of it. Last week, during a game between Turbs and Blue Storm, Kiranpal's mother refused to give Kiranpal's equipment to the Turbs, after he was taken out of the game due to a hard shot by Majed Bakdach to his glasses, making deep cuts underneath his eye. He was taken to the hospital and it was confirmed that he was in stable condition. Jeff was the only one to get my trivia question right. Good job, man. A chocolate bar goes to the person who gets the most of my questions right. 4th avenue doesn't seem to want to finish the rest of their games, but it doesn't matter since there's no way in Nirvana that the Stoners will get as many points as 4th Avenue, even if they got to play 100 games. No diss, though, these guys are hardcore, you know that's something the league is lacking: Stoners play for the fun of it, they don't give fuck all about points or winning. Something I couldn't say about Chris Micheals, Patrick Staton, and Brent Tyldsley.

-with Bengal TigerYo sup guys. Aight, so WISHL beat PSHL's ass. Big suprise, lol. In case you've been living under some rock for the past week, the score was 16-3. Sorry I couldn't ref the game. See I was only free on Wednesday and Chris Michaels so conveniently decided to change it two days before the game. I was betting on WISHL winning 10-0, but I guess a 13 goal lead for WISHL in the second period's good enough for me. One game was played this week to the dismay of Ashwin, who was so keen to start "mass-gaming", whatever the hell that means. Stoners have decided to pay for the WISHL cup, guess the dealers will be out of cash for a while. Chris Michaels wants to get more involved with the WISHL. More details next week. Cause I don't want to talk about that fag anymore.

"God Bless America!, My home sweet home....", well you get the point. Its "Independence" day in the States meaning that Bush can celebrate... by choking on another pretzel! Alright, now down to the news. Stoners went down in the standings (if that's possible) as they lost their latest game vs. Blue Storm 10-0. Speaking of things going down, pull up them pants, Julian. No i don't want to see your underwear and NO, I DO NOT WANT TO F*** YOU UP THE ASS.
That said, Veerinder decided to go BACK to the Turbs (what the f*** was that about) deciding that JB just wasn't good enough for him (DISS). You've all probably noticed the new "trivia" page on the WISHL site. The plan with that is that there'll be one each week (with the all scores of the week published-the best scorers of each week will be named), and points will be added each week until the end of summer when a "WISHL Trivia Champion" is named, with prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall scorers. Well, we all know that the Turbs have a friggin' army of players on their team, so they've decided to make a farm team out of younger and/or downright awful players. As you've seen by now, WISHL has a new logo, but the management ain't happy with it, so you've all got a chance to prove your artistic talents. A prize goes to the winner of the WISHL Logo Competition, just send your artwork to WISHL. The winner's name will be emblazoned (I hope I wrote that right) on the WISHL main page and all WISHL logo entries will be posted on the site (unless you don't want yours posted, DUH). Matthew Girgenti is no longer Prime/Head Ref, owing to the fact he hasn't showed up to any games for a long time. Perhaps the explanation to Matthew's disappearance stems from the fact that odd sounds can be heard from his house when Matt and his friend David are enjoying themselves. Is Nam really retiring? As much as Mukhbir wants to get rid of Nam, lets admit it, it'll be a lot harder for the Turbs take the WISHL cup without him. Is this a wise decision?

Ashwin's been complaining that the message board hasn't been interesting since his site now has less than 400 hits (boo hoo). Saturday's game between the Blue Storm and 4th avenue was cancelled, no surprise there. A game sheduled today between Hornell and the Turbs was cancelled as well. A second Turb has been named 'Player of the Week', good job. The WISHL management's got no friggin clue if those All-star games vs. PSHL and that other adults' league are going to happen, although the PSHL one is supposed to be on July 16. Lately, the Turbs gave a generous contribution to the WISHL trophy funds (about 12 bucks total) making the current amount about 25$, still Ashwin isn't happy, he wants 80$ to buy the biggest trophy in the shop as the WISHL Cup (or to buy GTA San Andreas... for the league). That said, I have been informed that another league, with players aging from 18-25, is willing to play an all-star match versus the best from WISHL. These guys from my former high school made an ultimate frisbee team, competed against adult players and came out winning, so I think you guys can pull it off. Sounds cool, though I wonder what happened to the WISHL-PSHL all star game of July 16, nobody seems to be talking about it. That catfight between Ashwin and Chris is still on (as usual). I'm guessing everyone finished school already or is almost done. I'm saying this in order to remind you all that you are about to face the summer phase of the WISHL regular season. This isn't just any ordinary message, but indeed a warning to all those thinking this league is a once-per-week thing. Mass gaming will be coming up (e.g. 3-4 games per week). Other news: Julian Grekin's suspension from the Message Board is over; PSHL (as known as PissL) copied a lot of sections of our site (Have you ever heard of copy and paste?); people are telling us they will help pay for the trophies but when?; a new rule about switching goalies in a game is on the way; new logos are coming; and last but not least, vulgarity on the Board has ceased. Anyhow, now that summer's here, new interesting sections will be added to the site. And whoever has a Digital Cam can bring it to games or take pics and send them to us. It seems that Shazeeb (Jay) finally got his 50th point after scoring twice and getting three assists against the Turbs. Well I have to admit this guy knows how to play, he should join a league (you know what I mean). Anyways, people are debating whether or not Sukhbir should be banned from the message board or not. Flip a coin on that one, I guess. Someone got suspended from the message board, though I am under an oath of secrecy and cannot tell y'all who it was. The stoners got a new logo, showing all of us how fucking stoned they are. Like last week, the WISHL funds for buying trophies is still at 11$... well, what can you do? Finally, Chris Micheals wants to have an all-star game WISHL vs. PISHL on July 16.

How's everyone doing, well Ashwin's hard at work studying (I hope) so I'm filling in. Plenty of news in the WISHL.
First up, again, the message boards a friggin wreck. Hey that's cool guys, I mean its YOUR board. Next up, Chris Michaels is under the impression that J-B Blue Storm are part of the PSHL, which Ashwin claims is untrue. More news, the turbs think they won their latest game against Hornell 10-7 (or 9-7), whereas Hornell claims the score is 7-7. Well you guys figure it out. As usual Chris Michaels is offering to help Ashwin out on the site and as usual some people are bitching about Nam, since Turbs kick ass with him. Personally, I'm thinking that there's a little bias by the Blue Storm (since they control the friggin league) against the Turbs, since the Turbs are their only serious competitors (except the Stoners of course, hohoho). Hey but don't get comfy Turbs, you oughta stop being racist against French people. Final word: The balance for buying trophies is at 11.00$ out of an expected 130$. I guess we oughta expect a bit less, lol.
Decision taken on Turbs vs 4e Avenue match (6/1)
After finding out 2 of the Turbs' 12 players were not in the rosters, it was supposed to result in an automatic loss for the Turbs (a forfeit loss). But since the whole game was played and only 2 of the Turbs' goals were scored or assisted by the 2 illegal players, we gave handed out a 2-2 tie to both teams. The Turbanators should have lost that game, but this is a last chance. Captain Mukhbir Singh probably forgot to sign up those 2 players. From now on, it's an automatic 1-0 loss if the team has illegal players.
Double-header at Roxboro parking lot, WISHL gets recognition (5/31)
Today, Jean Brillant beat Stoners 10-2 during a game which started at 1:00pm. During that game, Shahzeeb Uppal should have been credited for another goal, mistakenly (maybe) scoring in his own net, before scoring 2 more and assisting 3. At 2:30pm, the Turbs faced off against 4e Avenue. Turbs won that one 5-2 trying to beat Jean Brillant to be #1. 4e Avenue's Kevin De L'Etoile was back after previously announcing that he was quitting. In the 3rd period, a lady from McGill took photos of the game and then later took a group picture of the Turbanators. She will display the photos and information about the league at McGill.
All Star Game: Roxboro 9 - DDO 4 (5/24)
Saturday's rainy All Star Game ended 9-4 in favor of Roxboro. Roxboro consists of teams Jean Brillant and 4e Avenue. DDO consists of the 3 other teams (though no Stoners' players were there). Not all the elite players showed up, but it was a decent game. The game took place at 1:00pm at the parking lot on Jean Brillant street. The stats will be posted soon. MVP of the game is 4e Avenue's Kevin Laniel. He had a hat trick and 4 assists.
Too much tension (5/21)
There is too much hatred and frustration in the games played lately. Players arguing for nothing and disturbing the ref's opinion. From now on, when the ref has to make a decision only the captains are involved in the conversation. Suspensions and penalties will be given for lack of respect. During the weekend games, there were 3 fights in 2 games which is not such a bad thing. But the fights start getting out of control. If refs can't control the fight and if the players who are fighting don't listen to the ref when the fight should be over, game misconducts must be given out. This is just a warning. (Yeah Julian, just a WARNING.)
Bad news about the All Star Game (5/19)
Since no one payed 3$ to allow the league to buy medals and trophies, it's highly doubtful that there will be a medal given to the All Star MVP. If we never do receive anything, there may not be any WISHL Cup for the winner of the playoffs. Anyhow, there will be no All Star Skills Competition, but the Game will take place next Saturday at 1 pm at the parking lot in Roxboro. The lineups for the game will be shown soon, whenever it is given to the website manager.
Problems in game J-B vs Turbs (5/17)
From the beginning to the end, referee Matthew Girgenti seemed shaky in his debut. He had many tough decisions to make on some goals. He waived off 3 goals altogether. There was quite a lot of roughing and a fight between Shahzeeb Uppal and Sukhbir Singh. The game took more than 2 hours and Girgenti didn't take quick decisions. There were many complaints on the ref-ing. Racism might have been a factor in this game and from now on racism is not tolerated. No suspensions were called, but both Uppal and S. Singh received game misconducts. The game ended 6-2 in favor of Jean Brillant.
Dipietro off to Jean Brillant (5/17)
Dipietro gets J-B's phone call first and is on their team. He had 19 points going into today game vs Turbanators. In that game he had an assist. Hornell captain Julian Grekin thinking of quitting after losing Dipietro.
Dipietro free agent (5/17)
Alex Dipietro is now a free agent and is awaiting a call at 11:15 am. Both Jean Brillant and Hornell are interested in him. Whoever calls first will get him. But why would he go back with Hornell if he's leaving them?
Head Referee announced (5/14)
Matthew Girgenti has officially been named Prime Referee of the WISHL. When asked if he could assume all the responsibilities, he said the affirmative. He will be ref-ing most of the games in Roxboro and DDO, and will be in charge of all the WISHL referees. He has an impact on the commissioners' decisions as well. Girgenti now needs at least one assistant referee and stats-keepers.
Dipietro becomes free agent, De L'Etoile quits (5/14)
Ex-Hornell Alex Dipietro had problems with his teammates and clearly left the team. He is now a free agent. He has 4 goals 15 assists. On the other hand, 4e Avenue player Kevin De L'Etoile quits the league. He was fed up. More details coming soon.
Michaels and friend shipped to Turbs (5/13)
Jean Brillant has traded Chris Michaels and his friend James to the Turbanators for future considerations. Jean Brillant needed to cut down on players and made the deal. These two players will most probably play in their next game versus Jean Brillant on Sunday. Jean Brillant seem interested in sniper Sajan Singh of the Turbs. More details to come.
Should we add an extra 4 games per team? (5/11)
Some people are complaining that the regular season, which has a total of 20 games, is too short. If we add another 4 games per team, the season will end 1 1/2 weeks later and the playoffs will begin in the end of July. A season of 24 games but the playoffs will take up some of August.
All Star Game in 2 weeks! (5/11)
The lineups of May 24th's All Star Game are on the way. It will be Roxboro vs DDO, meaning the best players of Jean Brillant and 4e Avenue up against the superstars of Hornell, Turbs and Stoners. Either on Friday May 23rd or on Saturday we will hold the Skills Competition. Anyhow, the best player chosen of the All Star Game will be awarded with the 2003 All Star Game MVP medal.

Our site is getting competition again. Secondly, the message board is under attack again. The idiot that did it will serve a 2 game suspension, as Turbs goalie Kiranpal Singh was suspended last week for harsh language. Julian Grekin no longer wants to join Jean Brillant. Mission team will not join the league, but many players are joining teams. All Star game lineups will be shown soon.
Montpetit traded, Julian asking to be dealed (5/3)
4e Avenue captain Kevin Laniel dealed Jonathan Montpetit to Hornell. Julian Grekin of Hornell wants to be traded to Jean Brillant as he lost captaincy to Brent Tyldsley.
Jeff and Julian in heat (4/26)
An eventual trade may develop soon. Hornell Assistant Captain Michael Brown thinks Alex Dipietro should be captain. Captain Julian may trade himself back to Jean Brillant for Jeff Latreille. Jeff said he doesn't want to be traded but Julian may be ready to leave. Several Hornell players believe Julian should be traded and Jeff is the right man for him. Many trades are on the peak, such as Patrick Staton now on no certain team.
